Two 10x3' flamingo runners are interpretations of original works from Iena Cruz’s RipeTide Torn Future canvas collection. The core idea surrounds the plight of endangered species by incorporating a ripped visual effect with a layering of textures and dimensions. The 9x12 Squid carpet is an interpretation of the artist’s large-scale mural work from the 2013 BLOOP art festival, in Ibiza.
Iena Cruz is known for his love of decorative textures, incorporating this effect into his canvases and large-scale murals. These 2x2 samples are available in all sizes, colors and materials.
The collection is made at JanKath’s Nepal workshop, with sustainably sourced Tibetan wool and the finest quality of Chinese silk made from nettle fibers.
Dyes are natural and of a high quality. Made in Switzerland.
This unique combination of yarn reflects light, giving the carpets a luxurious look and feel.
Every carpet can be ordered uniquely,in terms of size, format and materials. Weavers work at a harmonious and equalpace, handcrafting every rug.
Iena Cruz creates an installation at Jan Kath’s New York City, Chelsea gallery.
